Terms of Service

AIVI LLC · last updated 15 August 2026

Who you are dealing with. AIVI LLC, a West Virginia limited liability company, at 219 Hartman Run Road, Morgantown, WV 26505, United States. Writing to hello@aivi.work reaches a person.

What the service is. AIVI provides an AI employee, Dana, who answers a business's telephone when the owner cannot, takes messages, and reports back to the owner. AIVI is currently offered to a small number of businesses by invitation and is not open for general signup.

SMS program terms

What the program is. AIVI sends one-time sign-in codes by text message to the business owner who holds an AIVI account. A code is sent only when that owner has just entered their own mobile number on AIVI's sign-in form, ticked the consent box beside it, and asked to be texted. There is no subscription and no list.

Message frequency
One message per sign-in request. There are no recurring messages. AIVI does not send marketing messages of any kind.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. AIVI does not charge for these messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Stopping messages does not close an AIVI account, and you can still reach us by email.
How to get help
Reply HELP, or write to hello@aivi.work.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The full text of a sign-in code message reads: “123456 is your AIVI sign-in code. It works once and expires in 10 minutes. We will never ask you for it. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Every other message AIVI sends goes only to the business owner who signed up, and only about their own business: one short note each morning, and a summary after a call Dana took for them. AIVI never messages a business's own customers on its own initiative.

Privacy policy: https://aivi.work/privacy

Your account

An account belongs to the business owner who created it and is reached by signing in with their own mobile number. Sign-in codes are for that owner alone; anyone holding the code can reach the account, so it should not be passed on. AIVI will never ask an owner for a code by phone, text or email.

Your phone number stays yours

AIVI never takes over a business's published number. A business forwards its own line to us and can stop forwarding at any moment, with one code, without telling us why.

Your business's information

It remains the business's own. It can be exported in full on request, and deleting it deletes it. What we hold and why is set out in the privacy policy.

What we do not promise

AIVI is early software working on real telephone networks. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or that Dana will never make a mistake, and AIVI is not a substitute for emergency services — a caller with an emergency should contact the emergency services directly. We commit instead to the thing we can control: telling an owner when something went wrong rather than letting them find out from a customer.

Ending it

A business can stop using AIVI at any time by stopping forwarding and telling us. We may end an account if it is used to break the law, to send messages to people who have not asked for them, or to impersonate someone. We will say why.

Changes and governing law

If these terms change, the changed version appears on this page. West Virginia law governs them.
